Konad Dupes - MASH Set back in stock!

Wait no longer! The MASH Set of 25 is back in stock. When I wrote about these originally they quickly went out of stock for quite awhile. You can read my original review here.

Most of the plates are good quality exact dupes of Konad. I really really love this set. It is $9.99 + shipping on Amazon. Only 5 of the plates I received were not Konad based.

I have no idea how many they have in stock, but last time they sold out fast after I wrote about it.

  1. Hi, so I just recently bought the Bundle Monster plates from Amazon. The patterns that are supposed to cover the entire nail, don't. I was wondering if the Konad Brand, MASH, or FASH, ones are bigger and can actually cover the entire nail.

  2. Ieshamay,
The MASH plates whole nail designs are exactly the same size as my Konad whole nail designs. If you've used Konad in the past, and they cover your nail then Mash will work fine.
I've heard Bundle Monster designs are skinnier than Konad.

I have found the following to be true, it covers all my nails just find. For my big toe I turn the design sideways to stamp. A few times it's been the slightest bit too small for a thumb, but I usually do it sideways to avoid that.

  3. Lauren E,
I haven't used the Konad Brand yet. I ordered some today (2 of them) and spent $13. If they work good on my nails, I will go ahead and order the MASH set. Thanks for the info. The problem I am having is that I have acrylic nails. And although they are short, the stamps don't completely fit. Mostly I am having a problem with them being big enough to go across. Or maybe I will order them on payday anyway :)

  5. Lauren E,
Thanks a lot for the lead. I ordered the set the same day I read you post and it arrived yesterday. These designs are completely the same and quality is impressive. I did a comparison with Konad ones I've got and I saw no difference, quality is superior. Price is a steal, taking into account that for the same price I can buy only 2 Konad plates.
    Thanks again

  10. Ok, I've never used the actual Konad brand but I can tell you that I'm pretty upset over the MASH brand. I've looked at video after video to see if I'm doing something wrong but the polish will not stay in the designs. I initially thought it was because I was using polishes that were not the konad brand (many sites give a list of alternate polishes & I bought those) when they didn't work, I ordered Konad brand polish & they won't stay in the designs either. I bought the MASH 25 plates all at once on Amazon. Is it me or is anyone else having a problem? Are the designs on the actual konad brand plates deeper? :-( If someone can help me actually get use out of these plates, I'd be grateful for sure. The concept is great if I could just get them to work.

  11. I really have noticed no quality difference at all between MASH and Konad.

What I can say is both take practice. If you don't work fast between scraping the excess polish off and picking up the design on the stamper it will dry in the plate. Once it's on the stamp you do not have to move quickly. It took me awhile to get it right also. This holds especially true when using non-konad polish as regular polishes seem to dry within the plate even faster.

What I do is this, paint the polish on the plate, then gather the stamper in hand to be prepared. Scrape and very quickly transfer to the stamp.

  12. I'll also add I began working with the thicker designs. Anything with very thin frail lines I had a lot more trouble with until I got the hang of working quickly. This applies to all brands, not just mash & konad.

  13. I posted a comment earlier & I am always one to admit when I was wrong. I ordered these plates weeks ago, bought all kinds of polishes and could not get them to work. I went over to Amazon to write a negative review & boy am I happy I did. Silly me figured they came in these little baggies, after opening them I thought they were ready to go. After reading someone else's review, I learned the plates are not blue, even being packaged in the baggies, they still have a plastic covering on them. I always admit when I am wrong even if it means I look silly :-) I was wrong, took the plastic off and now the designs are transferring (shocking, I know) lol, please feel free to laugh at me, I did :-D

  14. Im glad you figured it out. Im so sorry, I totally forgot about the blue covering on these. Konad doesn't come with this cover if I remember correctly - only off brands.
You're not the first person to not know, they don't include directions. You don't look silly at all.
